Florida Health Information Exchange (Florida HIE)

Preserving Core Services. Expanding for the Future.

The Florida Health Information Exchange (Florida HIE) enables secure, reliable sharing of health information across the state. To continue advancing this mission, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) has selected CRISP Shared Services (CSS) as Florida HIE’s new technology and operations partner.

This partnership will ensure:

  • No disruption to current services: Participants should continue accessing the existing vendor platform as usual.
  • Expanded services over time: This site will grow to include new resources, onboarding materials, and participant support.
  • Stable costs – all current fees remain the same as services expand.

Today, Florida HIE participants can continue business as usual on the current vendor’s site. This new website will be the future home for Florida HIE resources and updates as we transition in phases through 2026. Check back here for updates and additional materials.

About Us

Who We Are

The Florida Health Information Exchange (Florida HIE) enables the secure, reliable sharing of health information across health care facilities, practitioners, and payers statewide. By connecting providers, patients, and public health agencies, Florida HIE helps improve care coordination, quality, safety, and efficiency across Florida’s health care system.

Founded in 2011, the Florida HIE is governed by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), which establishes policy, convenes stakeholders, provides oversight, and promotes the benefits of health information technology.

Our Transition

To further advance Florida HIE’s mission, AHCA has selected CRISP Shared Services (CSS)—a nationally recognized nonprofit health data organization—to serve as Florida HIE’s new technology and operations partner. This transition will:

  • Preserve and strengthen existing HIE services.
  • Expand the platform with new tools and resources in the coming years.
  • Maintain current fees while adding new capabilities.
Throughout this phased transition, participants will continue accessing the current vendor platform with no disruption to services.
